IMAGE TOOLS 01

Reduce image file size

Shrink JPG, PNG and WEBP images by adjusting the quality value. You can compare the size of every file before and after compression. Files are never sent to a server; they are processed only in your current browser.

HOW IT WORKS 02

Pick your files,
save just the result.

01

Add images

Select several at once. Each file can be up to 25 MB.

02

Choose quality and format

Quality 70–80 cuts file size a lot while looking almost identical on screen.

03

Save the result

One image is saved as an image file, several as a ZIP. If a file would grow larger than the original, the original is kept.

ABOUT QUALITY

What does the quality value change?

JPG and WEBP are lossy formats: the lower the quality value, the less detail is stored and the smaller the file. We recommend 70–85 for photos and 85 or higher for text-heavy screenshots.

ABOUT PNG

Why does PNG shrink less?

PNG is lossless, so the quality value does not apply. If you do not need a transparent background, switching the output to WEBP or JPG is the surest way to reduce the size.
